How to Throw a “Stylish” Galentine’s Party

February 14th is right around the corner. You know what that means…it’s time to get together for the night of all nights with your besties. We’re going to cover the basics on how to throw a Galentine’s party with a stylish twist. May the ultimate Galentine’s Party commence!

First things first, we obvvvvviously need to figure out what to wear. Make sure the girls are prepared by setting a baseline dress code.

Are we staying cozy? Send the info. out for everyone to grab their favorite pair of satin jammies. There’s nothing like a wine night cozied up on the couch with the best snacks, conversation and romcoms (I see you “13 Going on 30”).

For those of us who want to make a statement and snap pics of alllllll the angles, a fabulous trending outfit this year is a red corset top paired with oversized boyfriend jeans, a blazer and your favorite pair of heels — *chefs kiss*. And if you’re wearing an outfit styled by Fashivly, don’t forget to tag them in your pics!

Next up: music. Ok, this one is really important. We all have different music tastes, so sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to play in the background at a gathering.

Little tip: create a shared running list with a few favorites from each of the girls. This way, everyone will hear tracks they love. Here are a few song reccs to get the vibes going — all by Women of course!

21 by Gracie Abrams (a must have on your playlist)

Lavender Taste by ZEMBU

Play It Right by Sylvan Esso

We Got Love by Liz Lawrence

Sweet Soul by Alayna

Come First by Astrid S. (oooooh girl!)

Overgrown by ZEMBU

Second Nature by Stalking Gia

Team by Lorde

Fallin Alina Baraz

Shoulders by Lily Juniper

We Stayed Up All Night by Tourist (so good)

Now for a little twist! Switch it up — literally. Add a clothing swap to your itinerary this year. Out with the old and in with the new at zero cost and lots of fun!

In Charlotte, we’re in the middle of winter which means lots of fun trench coats, scarves and layering pieces. But sometimes you just need a little closet clean out. Can you relate?

Set a limit anywhere from 5 to 10 to even 20, and send out a few simple tips and guidelines! A pretty common example is: “Please make sure all of your clothing is gently used, clean and without stains.”

Clothing swaps are SO fun in general, but you can always brainstorm ideas with the group to keep things unique! All in all, help each other style what you snagged and make new memories in the process.

Top all of this off with some heart shaped balloons, dark chocolates (supreme), and my personal favorite: a disco ball. May this be the best Galentine’s yet!
